THE PROBLEM
38% of all children in South Africa are mentally and physically stunted due to malnutrition. This is a shocking statistic which we aim to change.

The Pink Room Foundation
Feeding children and uplifting women and communities across Durban — one life at a time.
At the Pink Room Foundation, we strive to aid underprivileged children by making sure that their ‘tummies’ are full. We believe that a healthy body leads to a healthy mind and that starts with feeding as many children as possible.
Over and above feeding children, we have also embarked on community outreach projects to uplift and support schools, women and communities in need. We approach all our outreach projects through the perspective of PINK:
Promoting
Independance for women
Nurturing Children

The Founder
The Pink Room Foundation is a non-profit organisation founded in 2020 by Cristine Panday.
“Coming from a teaching background at Montessori, I have always been very passionate about the future of children in South Africa. Whilst I was a teacher I have always strived to give my best to every child that I interacted with. When COVID-19 arrived on our shores in 2020, I unfortunately had to put my passion for upliftment on hold. However, overtime I soon realised that I could reach out it in other ways to help children through more than just being a teacher but also helping them to grow and develop through the fundamental need for nutrition. This is how the Pink Room Foundation evolved.”

We are working with Pebbles Project to supply 100% nutritionally based frozen Soup blocks whilst we develop our centralized kitchen.
We will deploy these soup blocks to communities and ECD's using a pop-up Store where cups of soup are distributed or sold by the community.
We are building a centralized kitchen to handle large volume soup production and distribution.
We desperately need more people on the ground to help spread the word and assist with meal preparation and deployment.
Given the volume of meals we wish to deliver we are looking for key partners amongst the grocery store brands and logistics suppliers.
We the community of Riet River, Mount Vernon, Verulam, would like to give a huge thank you to The Pink Room Foundation for all they have done for us.
